I was skeptical, but now I'm convinced

- I have to admit that I was skeptical at the very beginning, but there was no reason to be. I was quickly convinced by how well it works, says Knut Erik Frisholm, car salesman at Easy Bruktbil.

One year ago, Easy started using Short Shift's used car platform, a technological solution which automatically creates interactive sales pages for cars. These are displayed on the website, but also on an interactive screen in store.

- I was unsure how these nice and large screens would help us. Previous experience with similar screens has been poor. But the screens from Short Shift are very intuitive, so they are easy to use - both for customers and us sellers, says Frisholm.

An extra assistant

On the screen you will find all the used cars Easy has for sale and detailed information about each individual car. Many of the questions that Knut Erik previously had to answer, customers can now easily find answers for themselves.

This is particularly useful if there are several customers in the store at the same time.

- On Saturdays, there is only one of us at work here. Thanks to the screen, handling customers works much better. Instead of someone just having to stand and wait, they can explore our selection themselves - on the screen. It's like having an extra assistant at work, he says - and interjects:

- The screen is absolutely priceless. It has been of fantastic help to us, and we also receive positive feedback from customers.

No extra work

There is a lot of technology behind what is shown on the screen, but both employees and customers find it very simple and intuitive.

Short Shift has created a system that automatically generates interactive car ads by retrieving data from multiple sources. When Easy Bruktbil posts an ad via their DMS, it automatically appears on the website and on the screen in the store. In other words, the solution does not involve any extra work.

- This was important to us. We would not impose more work duties on the employees than they have today, says Kenneth Iversen, used car manager at Bilservice, the group that owns Easy.

He is delighted with how using the screens and technology from Short Shift has worked.

- It streamlines the customer journey, both as a tool that the seller uses together with the customer, but also because we see that customers use it themselves. In situations where there are more customers than sellers in the hall, this is worth its weight in gold. The system and screens also enable warehouse collaboration and large-scale operations in a completely new way, says Iversen.
