Knut Erik Frisholm, a salesperson at Easy Bruktbil, admits he was skeptical at first. But there was no reason to be – he quickly became convinced by how well it works.
A year ago, Easy started using Short Shift's used car platform, a technological solution that automatically creates interactive sales pages for vehicles. These are displayed on their website, but also on a touchscreen in the showroom. Frisholm was unsure how the large screens would help them – previous experience with similar screens had been poor. But the screens from Short Shift turned out to be very intuitive and easy to use for both customers and salespeople.
An extra assistant
On the screen, you can find all the used cars Easy has for sale and detailed information about each vehicle. Many of the questions Knut Erik previously had to answer, customers can now easily find answers to themselves. This is particularly useful when there are several customers in the store at the same time.
On Saturdays, there's only one person working. Thanks to the screen, serving customers works much better. Instead of having to wait around, they can explore the selection themselves – on the screen. It's like having an extra assistant at work.
– The screen is absolutely invaluable. It has been a tremendous help to us, and we also receive positive feedback from customers.

No extra work
There's a lot of technology behind what's displayed on the screen, but for both staff and customers, it feels very simple and intuitive. Short Shift has created a system that automatically generates car listings by pulling data from marketplaces, listing platforms, and public vehicle registries. When Easy Bruktbil posts a listing, it automatically appears on their website and on the screen in the showroom. In other words, the solution doesn't require any extra work.
Kenneth Iversen, Used Car Manager at Bilservice (the group that owns Easy), says this was important to them. They did not want to increase their employees' workload. He is extremely pleased with how smoothly the Short Shift screens and technology were introduced.
– It streamlines the customer journey: salespeople can use it together with customers, and customers also use it independently. When there are more customers than salespeople in the showroom, it is worth its weight in gold.

The system and screens also enable inventory collaboration and economies of scale in an entirely new way.
